The Linux Kernel should also be a Hypervisor…

 | Sunday, 7. March 2010 23:57

As a Linux developer, it’s hard for me to be that interested in Xen…
When you think about it, it is really quite silly. We advocate Linux for
everything from embedded systems to systems requiring real-time
performance, to high-end mainframes. I trust Linux to run on my dvd
player, my laptop, and to run on the servers that manage my 401k.
Is virtualization so much harder than every other problem in the
industry that Linux is somehow incompatible of doing it well on its own?
Of course not.

Linux With StandardServer another Reason

 | Tuesday, 22. December 2009 1:06

Now also the Red Hat Support for Itanium with RHEL 6 is dead! That exactly what we feel 3 years ago.

I very happy that we decide to go with Standardsever, on the longterm that was the best Decision

RHEV is out !

 | Tuesday, 3. November 2009 23:34

Since I saw the Demo at the Red Hat Summit 2009 in Chicago I wait for that Release.

This Software has really the chance to break the Vmware Monopol inside Companys. It’s really designed for a Multivendor  Enviroment like ours.

The Hypervisor RHEV-H is in fact a RHEL 5.4 mean that no spez. Certification is needed, also the RHEV-M is a GUI ( right now based on Windows ) that fit perfect with ADS.

Atix Open-Sharedroot in Fedora 12

 | Tuesday, 11. August 2009 23:07

End of July  the Open-Sharedroot Feature was accepted in Fedora 12:

That is really a good news for Open-Sharedroot Fans like me. So the possibility that OSR will be included in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 is 100% higher.

Also if it not included the Support Problematic is extrem lower.

I really hope that OSR make it to the final Fedora 12 in October

Ich denke wir haben diesen Award verdient durch harte Arbeit die letzten 3 Jahre. Trotz allen Widrigkeiten und vielen Steinen haben wir unsere Entscheidung nach Linux zu migrieren erfolgreich durchgezogen.

Open Source in the Switzerland Government

 | Tuesday, 26. May 2009 23:49

In the Government Area Switzerland is really not in the Top 10 :-( Maybe that’s also the reason because OpenSource never get the chance !

Red Hat get the Lead to change to challenge Microsoft in this area. I really hope they win with this, and give OpenSource a chance.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.8 erschienen

 | Friday, 22. May 2009 0:28

http://www.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/4.8/html/Release_Notes/index.html
